Summer Fun

So somebody told me last week I was doing a terrible job at blogging! And yes I admitted to her that I am! Now that Parker is walking (trying to run), I spend most of my free time right behind him! He loves to explore but has not gotten brave enough to go up and down steps by himself (which I am totally thankful for), so I am usually one step behind so that I can hold his hand when he gets to a step! We have been so busy this summer! Parker has grown so much and has learned so many new things. He has 8 teeth now and his favorite words are: Mama, DaDa, Cookie, and Mo (which means More)!

We went to the beach the second week of June with my parents and sister! Parker absolutely loved the beach! He loved standing on the edge of the ocean and letting the waves crash into him!

On Father's Day, the Williams family gathered at Momimee's house so the great grandkids could play together! We attempted to get a group picture of them with Momimee! What a job that was!
Attempt #1

Attempt #2

At the end of June, Jeff's Great Uncle David (Momimee's Brother), and his son and daughter-in-law, came to visit! We took Parker to the airport in Baton Rouge to pick them up! We were so glad that Parker got to meet his Great Great Uncle!

My Mom, Dad, & Brooke came down to spend the 4th of July with us! On July 4th, my parents celebrated their 30th Wedding Anniversary! I am so lucky to have Godly parents who have have kept their commitment to each other for 30 years! On the 5th we had a cookout at our house and the Metz family came over and we played badmittion and volleyball! And yes I was quite sore the next day! But it was soo much fun!

As you can see we have had such a wonderful summer so far! And I promise to start doing better on my blogging! I leave you with one of my favorite moments! After a fun afternoon of playing outside, Parker decided he needed a snack! See below.......

Parker's 1st Christmas!

As a child, I remember how hard it was to go to sleep on Christmas Eve! I would lay in bed and listen closely to hear Santa in the living room.  Then on Christmas morning, Brooke and I would wake up bright and early to see what Santa had brought.  We waiting anxiously for Mom and Dad to get the video camera ready before we could run in there!  I think I had that same excitement this year!  I could not wait for Parker to see all his new toys!  I ran into the living room and got my camcorder ready and then cued Jeff and Parker to come in there!  Although Parker wasn't real sure what was going on and was a little overwhelmed, I enjoyed every minute of it!  Jeff says next year we're giving him paper and boxes because thats all he really cared about!

Parker and his red wagon!

His own toy cell phone! Now he can stop chewing on ours!

Christmas this year was not only about the gifts, but getting to spend time with family members! Parker got to see lots of family members that we don't see very often!  Two weeks before Christmas, our friends Randy, Melissa, Aaron, & Mallory, from St. Francisville, came to our house for supper and gift exchange.

The Sunday before Christmas we met Mrs. Nancy's brothers and nephew in Alexandria for lunch.  We enjoyed visiting with them.  While we were at the Alexandria mall, we took Parker to see Santa Clause.  He didn't cry, but he didn't smile either! haha

Jeff, Uncle Roger, Trey, Uncle Tye, Lee, Lisa, Nay-Nay, Papa Ray

Parker also had a Christmas Party at Mamaw Rose's house (daycare)!

Parker opening his gift from Reeve's!

I know I talk alot about Mamaw Rose.  She keeps Parker everyday at her house.

On Christmas Eve, we had supper and Nay-Nay & Papa Ray's house and exchanged gifts with them and Aunt Le-Le and Uncle Joel.

On Christmas Day, we traveled to Mississippi to stay with my family for a few days!  He got lots of toys and clothes from his Nana, Papaw, & Aunt Brooke!  He got a tent with a tunnel.  Here is a picture of Parker crawling through the tunnel and his Aunt Brooke trying to follow him. As you can see, she got stuck! hahaha

For lunch we went to the King Family Christmas!

Grandcharlie, Jeff, Me, Parker, Nana, Aunt Brooke, Nanny, Papaw

Then on Saturday night, we went to the Sasser Family Christmas!

4 Generations - Parker couldn't stop looking at Mamaw

The Sunday after Christmas we came back to Ethel for the Williams family Christmas!  Even more toys!! As you can probably tell, our house is now a mini ToysRUs!

Parker and his cousins Abby & Emily

Parker and his cousin Tyler.  "Hey Tyler, whats these things on your head!"

As you can see we had a wonderful Christmas!  Our house is full of lots of new toys and most of them make lots of noise! haha But we love every minute of it!  Its hard to believe we will be having Parker's 1st Birthday Party soon!  My little baby is growing up!  He loves to clap his hands and every now and then I can get a Ma Ma out of him!  Can't wait to see what 2010 brings........

Snow in Ethel

On Friday, December 4, Parker got to experience something new! SNOW!!! The snow started to fall on Friday night and when we woke up on Saturday morning, there was snow everywhere! We bundled Parker up and took him outside.  He had no idea what was going on but I was so happy for him to experience it!  He most likely will not remember the snow, but atleast we have pictures!! I want Parker to be able to experience everything!  Most of the time I am more excited than he is, but thats ok too! When he's older he can look back on all the pictures of the things he saw and did, and hopefully he'll know how much we love him and want him to experience all of these new things!

PS: Parker now has two teeth! After that first one broke the skin, they seem to be popping up everywhere!!
